Everyday Wear
Our jewellery is designed to become part of your everyday wardrobe. To help preserve its finish, we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising.
By taking a few simple precautions, you can help keep your jewellery looking its best for years to come.
Perfume & Lotions
Apply perfume, sunscreen, body lotion and hairspray before putting on your jewellery.
Allow these products to dry completely before wearing your jewellery, as direct contact may affect the finish over time.
Water
We recommend avoiding contact with water whenever possible.
Please remove your jewellery before:
- Swimming in the sea or a swimming pool
- Showering or bathing
- Using hot tubs or saunas
- Washing up or household cleaning
Keeping your jewellery dry will help preserve its finish and appearance.
Cleaning
After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry jewellery cloth to remove natural oils and fingerprints.
Avoid abrasive cloths, polishing compounds or chemical jewellery cleaners, as these may damage the gold-plated finish.
Storage
When not being worn, store your jewellery in its Tamarin Bay pouch or jewellery box.
Keeping each piece separate helps prevent scratching and tangling, particularly delicate chains.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Travelling with Your Jewellery
Tamarin Bay was inspired by travel, so naturally we hope you'll take your jewellery with you.
To help protect your pieces while travelling:
- Store each item in its own pouch.
- Fasten necklaces before packing to help prevent tangles.
- Avoid packing jewellery loose alongside other accessories.
A little extra care will help keep your jewellery looking beautiful wherever your adventures take you.
Natural Gemstones & Shells
Many of our designs feature natural gemstones and shell, each chosen for its unique colour and character.
As every stone is created by nature, no two are exactly alike. Variations in colour, pattern and texture are part of their beauty and make every piece uniquely yours.
Although suitable for everyday wear, natural stones should be treated with care and protected from knocks or hard impacts.
Gold Plating
Every Tamarin Bay piece is finished with 18-carat gold plating, chosen for its rich, warm tone and beautiful finish.
Depending on the design, our jewellery is plated with either 1 micron or 2 microns of 18-carat gold, as detailed on each product page.
With thoughtful care, your jewellery will remain a cherished part of your collection for years to come.
